Short answers. Real sources.
The Pet Brief answers the questions dog and cat owners actually type into search, at 11pm, with a worried pet next to them.
What we do
Most pet sites bury the answer under ten paragraphs and four ads. We put it first: a clear yes, no or “be careful” in a highlighted box, in plain words, in under a minute. The detail follows for anyone who wants it.
Who writes it
Articles are written by the The Pet Brief Editorial Team, a small group of lifelong dog and cat owners. Every health or safety claim is checked against veterinary and animal-welfare sources such as the ASPCA, the American Kennel Club, International Cat Care, PDSA and veterinary schools, and each article shows the date it was last reviewed.
What we are not
We are not your vet. Our articles are general information. If your pet is unwell, or may have eaten something toxic, call your vet or an animal poison hotline straight away.
How we make money
The Pet Brief is free to read. We earn from display ads and from affiliate links, which pay us a small commission when you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend. Read the affiliate disclosure and our editorial policy.
